Katahari Public School spread out over 3 acres of campus, affiliated to CBSE Senior Secondary 10+2 established in the year 1991, inaugurated by his Excellency the governor of Bihar Dr. A.R.Kidwai in 1993. It is a Muslim minority institution established and run by Al – Karim educational and welfare trust, Katahari ,Sathi, West Champaran , Bihar. This place has its glorious past in freedom movement, but its contribution in the field of education is quite dismal. The inhabitants of this place are striving hard to provide better and quality education to their children but it is still inaccessible to the majority. To meet this immediate need of this place, the institution stands committed towards imparting quality education among the children living in the villages. Beside academic excellence the institution strives for the harmonious development of the children through holistic approach so as to explore the innovative potential, creativity and channelize them accordingly for the task of self and nation-building. This institution is open to all irrespective of religion, caste, creed , colour and sex.
We lay emphasis on instilling a sense of national pride, courteous behaviour, good manners, etiquettes and values of sharing, caring and widespread brotherhood.
To ensure that our students have a unique blend of traditional ethos, innovation and modernity.
To inculcate a global perspective and an international vision among the children so that they can develop global awareness.
Education as Mahatma Gandhi has rightly defined is “the all round development of the child’s body, mind and spirit”. A good education therefore should aim at the integrated development of the child. Children represent our hopes and dreams. Education is not just a process of giving knowledge for future job but a lifelong process which creates an understanding of moral and ethical values to guide one’s life and make our students the future hope of the country.
At Katahari Public School we hope to create an atmosphere of reverence for education and a healthy environment where work, sports and co-curricular activities mould our students and spur them on to be the brightest and the best. In order to do this the parents and the school authorities work together to inculcate certain values in the students. Respect for elders, teachers and a commitment to discipline are engraved in Indian culture. Let us inculcate these ideals in the younger generation. A student who has a respect for the teacher will be more receptive to the authority and to learning. This will enable him/her to get the best out of the school. We are imparting quality education among the children of Bihar especially to the children of Champaran living in rural areas who are educationally and socially backward. Our intention is to inculcate moral, ethical and social values beside education to accelerate them to confront the contemporary globalised world. We are proud to be working with the children to ensure that they are given right knowledge to face the future challenges.
Katahari Public School has very confidently reached to the unreached section of society and is proudly rendering its service in imparting modern education with strong fundamental and deep rooted values of Indian culture that has enabled them in competing the toughest challenges and sustaining across the globe.
