Examination

Class I –V

  Four Unit Tests.

  No re-test will be taken.

  Performing Arts evaluation will be conducted during their regular periods.

 Orals for various subjects shall be conducted during the days of the examination.


PROMOTION CRITERIA FOR CLASSES VI TO X(As per CBSE Guidelines)

  The examination from academic year 2018-19 and onwards would be conducted as per the remodeled assessment structure explained below.

1. Scholastic Area

  In all five scholastic subjects, Assessment will be done in two parts- Annual / Board examination and Internal Assessment.

  a) Annual / Board Examination - Student has to secure 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject covering 100% syllabus of the subject. Marks and grades will be awarded for individual subjects. 9-Point grading will be same followed by the board in class XII.

  b) Internal Assessment - Student has to secure 33% marks out of overall 20 marks earmarked in each subject.

i) Periodic Test / U.T.- Apart from half yearly, pre-board exams (IX - X) there will be three periodic (written) test in an academic year. and apart from half yearly, Annuals (VI-VIII), there will be three periodic (written) test in an academic year. All tests are equally important for final marks submission.

ii) Notebook Submission - This will cover regularity, assignment completion, neatness and upkeep of notebook.

iii) This will cover speaking and listening skills in Languages, Practical Lab work in Science, Maths Lab work and Map work and project work in Social Science.


2. Co-scholastic Activities

Following activities will be graded on a 5-point grading scale ( A to E ):

  a) Work education or prevocational education ( clubs )

  b) Art education

  c) Health and physical education


3. Discipline

Class Teacher will be grading the student on a five point scale ( A to E ).

No up scaling will be done in scholastic areas on the basis of grades obtained in co-scholastic areas. it is mandatory to pass separately in board / annual examination and internal assessment as per c.b.s.e guidelines.

EVALUATION AND PROMOTION CRITERIA CLASS XI

  Final result will be a cumulative one (3 unit tests + Half Yearly + Annuals)

  Pass percentage in subject – 33% in theory as well as in practical’s.

  Students getting less than 33% marks in two subjects will not be promoted irrespective of the aggregate.

  Students having less than 75% attendance (Class XI-XII) may be barred from taking Annual Exams.

  No Retest will be taken.

Important- If a student is found using unfair means in the exams, zero will be awarded to him/ her the first time and will be debarred from any recognition from the school authorities for that academic year. If he / she repeats the same, the student will be asked to leave the school.
